Montreal resident Yvonne Sam is a retired Head Nurse, secondary school teacher and Examiner for the Ordre des Infirmières et Infirmiers du Québec who has spent decades writing and speaking on social issues for worldwide media. Has also published two books.

Current Chair of the Rights & Freedom Committee of the Black Community Resource Centre, and Board Director  Council for Black Aging Community of Montreal.
